In the February edition of ING Shareholder, ING advised readers that it would be the last edition of the magazine. ING is planning a new online magazine and hopes to have it ready for distribution to coincide with ING's half year results. In the meantime, ING published an 'interim' update. It provides a full analysis of the first quarter figures, ING's recent strategy announcement by chairman Jan Hommen, an account of some of the major topics discussed at the 2009 AGM and an article about the new ING supporting business.

In this issue an interview with CEO designate Jan Hommen on how to take ING forward and articles about the new ING (combining the strengths of Postbank and ING Bank) and how customers will benefit, Koos Timmermans explains the deal on the Illiquid Assets Backup Facility by the Dutch State and Karien van Gennip, head of European & International Affairs of ING, talks about the changing regulatory landscape for financial institutions.
